Artists are inspired and have the gift to inspire others. The best way to unite people is through the Arts. The opportunity for a residency at Studio 18 In the Pines was such an honor. I feel certain that this residency was a great opportunity for me to get involved, not only to have space to work but also to network and propel my career forward as an Artist Entrepreneur.

During my year as a resident artist I had the chance to serve the city by initiating community engagement and public art projects. I wrote grants and was instrumental in raising funds for certain colorful ventures, introducing light, color and art into the community. I collaborated with other artists, painted, sculpted and exhibited my work, as well as sharing my knowledge by teaching workshops. All this, in a beautiful inspiring environment! 

It was a very rewarding experience and I am positive that working together, we can all make a difference to inspire arts and culture within our own cities, municipalities and communities.  I am so honored by this incredible opportunity and I would like to thank The City of Pembroke Pines, The Cultural Council of Pembroke Pines and all the staff and the artists at Studio 18. Your amazing support has been instrumental in helping me to realize my dreams!
